49 O WAY TO GO VOTERS

For all the majors out there, the belief of casting our vote can bring in change to the system, has to be strongly accepted. Cos here's a way out.

For years now, people crib about the political reforms and the uneducated politicians who are given the liberty to do anything with the country. And the public voice their views against them. Voicing our views definitely reaches people, but in some way those 'voices' needs to be considered while making decisions.

As per the 1969 act, there is a section called 49-O. That section states that any public can go to the polling booth, confirm his identity, get his finger marked and convey the presiding election officer that he doesn't want to vote for anyone! Yes such a feature is available, but these leaders have never disclosed it for obvious reasons.

Now if a candidate wins, say by 123 votes, and that particular ward has received 49-O votes more than 123, then that polling will be cancelled and will have to be re-polled. The candidature of the contestants will be removed and they cannot contest the re-polling, since people had already expressed their decision on them. This would bring fear into parties and hence look for genuine candidates for their parties for election. This would change the way, of our whole political system. It is seemingly surprising why the election commission (EC) has not revealed such a feature to the public.

There has been a petition filed to the EC for including 49O as a button in the Electronic Voting Machine (EVM). The EC has affirmed the public that this time people will have to inform the polling officer and sign the form 17-A. During the next elections, it is believed to be included as a button in the EVM. When that comes to action, we can overcome the fear among the public in voicing for 49O in few problematic polling booths too.

Today's power of communication & media has made this information reach the people. Its definite that, for the very first time this year, this feature cannot get majority of attention. But Im sure this can bring in a lot of change. So why not be a small part in changing the whole system.

the shooting star

तारे ज़मीन पर

There has always been this notion of not getting involved to any movie while u watch it for the second time. If not with everyone, I've felt it that way. This movie proved it wrong! I watched taare zameen par today for the second time in the theatre and jus couldn't stay away from getting involved to the movie.

I ve a feeling its a awesome piece of art if u consider the movie in terms of success. Its success can de defined by the number of people (all ages), who wipe the tears that flow outta their eyes for few scenes.

The perfect depiction of the child who suffers from dyslexia is showcased extremely well and the practical consequences. I have had the chance to closely watch one child grow up this way. Fortunately, he was identified with this problem and had started receiving this treatment from a very young age. Now my prayers are jus for his colorful future...

Today, this symptom is prominent with 1 out of 9 children. But detecting it at the early stages will definitely save the child's future. The most touching scene accordin to me was when te child runs back to amir before leaving fr the summer vacation and hugs him(end of climax). Apart from it, the scene where he's picked for the best art work.. jus amazing!!

When the child is left alone in the hostel for the first time, and his family bids farewell..... the pain.... the tears!!! It makes me think as to y does a child needs to suffer the loneliness for the name sake of discipline.. Why not keep the child closer to our heart and bring in perfection...

This movie brought in the nuances of lotsa stuff, which we would barely think of in our day-to-day lives...

Personal Space

why do people hinder with others personal space !!!

What does personal space mean?? i Guess its something that each and every person has for his own existance... its something which no one has got the rights to hinder.. but its impossible for few people who'd love to poke their nose into others affairs and ve the best of their time. Everyone needs to understand their own limits and behave accordingly.

There is definitely a boundary that we could easily define with in ourselves. Its visible many-a-times. May be thats the space we give for our selves. But this by itself makes us wonder if it is healthy at all times. I guess its not!! I learnt that u can clearly analyse and bring out a solution to anything, when u look at it from a third person's perspective. Never when u're within ur frontier.

Had got a forwarded text message from one of my buddies couple of weeks back. It conveyed saying, Our destiny is associated with our desires. And when u cry, u double ur worries. Rather why not laugh at them and u'll see them disappear soon. This fact is so very true. But it might sound easy to say that its true, but u'll see the real thing wen u go thro it. Once u start practising it, i'm sure the hurdles will come to an ease gradually.

a clinch of 2007

Well this year was a very promising one.... gotto learn loads and loads of new things.. gained worthy experiences and crossed one more step in the future way.. Well this doesn't mean this year was jus full of fun and bliss.. Rather it shelled out quiet a few poignant happenings.

Met lotsa new people and learned so much from them. U always need to be good to yourself and only to yourself!! needn't bother about how others would take u. Its more of self confidance that you earn.

This post is not any kinda advice. This year offered beautiful chances for me to make wonderful trips with my friends... Kodai, Kolli and Bangalore were memorable ones. Same time this was a chance to understand all friends better.. their likes, dislikes, preferences and nature. Few turned out geniune and true. But it did help in knowing others lousy attitude too!!

Entry into workspace was the prime trial. This challenge proved little harder in terms of the tolerance level. Patience is the key factor! Need to wait until things work out. Team player is not an easy term. It has got a deep meaning to it. But the exposure you get in return is immense.

Balancing work life and personal life is wat if felt i need to look at...

whY sO manY religionS

I'm
not sure about the answer.... its kinda weird when i think about the number of religions that exist today!! does it make a difference to u???

it doesn't make any to me !!!

Being an agnostic, i'm not really into any belief... I was baptised as a hindu, But i like going to church .. the silence there is something which you cannot buy elsewhere...

I thought the major religions were jus a few... Chirstianity, jainism, hinduism, islam, bahai and buddism were the ones i was aware about .. But the list doesn't end here... its really really long....

And why do people get excited when anybody praises ur religion and feel let down when ur's is degraded... More than showing ur faith, y not make this society ONE~!! But i doubt if there would be an end to the religions.. It would exist till the end of human race, most probably.. But the conflicts and problems arising due the very term 'religion' could be analysed and sorted out very easily.

There's absolutely nothing wrong in people choosing their own spiritual path. Its the way u want to live your life. But this itself shouldn't become the reason for people to fight with. The never-ending conflict between hindu muslim seems immortal.

Relentless act of a 14yr old chap

Its definitely clueless on where our society is heading to while hearing about grave incidents, like the gurgoan school murder. 14 year old chap, who smartly flicked his dad's licensed revolver and managed to hide it in the very same school premises until the day of the incident. In spite of the frequent bullying by the victim, Abishek the issue could've been solved in some other precautious way rather than losing a life! Life is so damn precious and today's children don't seem to apprehend on that!

This grave incident is now gonna threaten every parent who have been thinking that their ward is safe in his school. The frantic VP of the Euro International School ran to the place where the incident took place after hearing from two other children and witnessed the body of abishek, in a pool of blood and the killer chap standing beside him. More than the academics, these children need to learn more on ethics and stuff. This child, actually the murderer, or could be called as the juvenile has no fear and claimed himself that he had killed abishek. Where do these kids get the courage from and Where lies the blame??
